What is the version of XM-Spotlight that you are having this problem with?

If you are using (the current version) XM-Spotlight 1.02 Beta2 10272006 . is the problem similar to this one.?

when i change the category and i press the submit i get white page

mybe i have to put one news at the category at least so i can chosee it right?

not sure. but make sure you have a valid news category set when you save it.
